Reflecting on being African-American vs. African bred
The African who was born and raised in Africa vs. The African that is a descendant of enslaved Africans. I've been learning to call each other "Distant Relatives" because we are. Nothing separates us other than the waters that were used to take us from the MOTHERLAND!! Our relatives were brought from OUR continent where cotton is in abundance to be forced, beaten, raped, and killed to benefit those of the Western world. The richness of this land is one that many take advantage of. If you want to know where your abundance or lack of is coming from, take a moment to reflect on how you treat the EARTH, for she is the ABUNDANT!!
