About the event
We are thrilled to present The REVOLT, an event that celebrates African spirituality, culture, and healing. This festival aims to honor the resilience of our ancestors, as well as those who fought for our rights and brought our African spirituality and culture to this land.
THE REVOLT is a camping experience providing an opportunity for melanated Kings and Queens of all ages to experience healing in the beauty of nature. Held on the ancestral grounds of Nat Turner, our intention to honor the wisdom of our ancestors and uplift the Black community. Participants will be encouraged to explore the outdoors, engage in meaningful conversations, and participate in activities that draw upon the power of nature and spirit. The Nat War Trail Tour (TNTWTT) is a mobile tour that showcases the major events of the most successful slave revolt in US history. The tour includes visits to battle sites and is led by Elder Baba Khalifah and his son Khalifah Muhammad. The tour begins with an introduction debriefing.
